Keynote : neuro-architecture

In today's rapidly evolving world, the spaces we inhabit play a critical role in shaping our mental health, productivity, and overall sense of well-being. "Neuro-Architecture: Crafting Spaces for Well-Being and Creativity" is a pioneering keynote designed for individuals and professionals eager to bridge the gap between the art of design and the science of the human mind.

As an expert in neuro-architecture, I, Fiona, will guide you through an enlightening journey into the core of how our environments influence our mental state and behavior. This keynote is structured around the exploration of the three fundamental pillars of neuro-architecture. Each pillar is vital in creating spaces that not only cater to our aesthetic desires but also nurture our psychological and emotional well-being.

In this scene, Fiona is captured giving a dynamic conference on the intricacies of hybrid work, standing confidently at the forefront of a modern, well-lit conference room. A detailed plan is projected behind her, offering a clear, visual representation of an ideal hybrid work environment. The plan highlights different zones designed for focused work, collaborative projects, and relaxation, each marked with distinct colors and symbols. Fiona points towards the projection, her expression animated as she discusses how to create a seamless blend of work and home life for optimal productivity and well-being. The audience, composed of business professionals and HR leaders, watches intently, their faces a mix of curiosity and enlightenment. Notebooks are open, pens are scribbling rapidly, capturing the insights being shared. The room is charged with the energy of discovery, as Fiona leads the conversation on transforming traditional work models into something more flexible, humane, and ultimately more productive

The future of hybrid work

In our new world of working from both home and office, many of us are finding it hard to separate our job from our personal life. It is time we understand the impact of our workspaces on our mental health.

In this picture Fiona stands in with BetterAtHome written on the screen. She gives a workshop during the hour of lunch, a conference where she talks about neuro-architecture and the impact of space on our mental health. You can see Fiona Beenkens in the middle of her presentation.

Office design as the cause of burn-out and turn-over

In this keynote you will understand why high rates of burn-out and turnover are not always a sign of un unhealthy company or a problem in the inner structure. Sometimes, it is just a problem in space design.

Flex desks, black walls, open spaces, hybrid work ... they look fancy but they can be the exact reason the mental health of your team is drastic. The good news is, it may be less expensive to invest in a new color on two or three walls than to deal with turn-over.
