Where MyGeno comes from
MyGeno grew out of Fiona Beenkens' practice. In her consultations, everything came back to the transgenerational: why we keep a particular ancestor's furniture, the family home, the objects that get passed down. Not a single session went by without going back through the family history.
MyGeno is that method, taken out of her consulting room and made available to everyone. The platform is published by BetterAtHome and was built with Pierre, who started from scratch on the subject — proof that curiosity is enough to begin.
Behind the project there is also Emmanuelle, Fiona's closest friend, who passed away in June 2025. She inspired the whole project and remains fully part of it.

Does MyGeno replace a therapist?
No. MyGeno saves you precious time: everything is gathered, organised and analysed in one place. But the tool does not replace human support. It prepares, enriches and extends it.
Does MyGeno make a medical diagnosis?
Never. MyGeno is a tool for introspection and psychogenealogy: it makes no diagnosis and does not replace medical advice. If you are going through a difficult time, speak to a health professional.
Is my data protected?
Yes. Your data is hosted in Europe and processed under GDPR. Your genogram and notes stay strictly confidential: you decide what you share, and with whom. You can export or delete your account at any time.
